Gails
Can someone give me some advise on what size rulers to take to Karen McTavish whole cloth class at MQX. Especially the t square. I am gathering the stuff I will need for the class and was wondering what size t square to get. Where is the best place to find one? Thanks for your help. Butterfly
Don't bother bringing one with you. She has someone come in and sell big ones in several different sizes. Also, she sells the blue water erasable pens and eraser pens. They are nicer than the ones found in quilt stores. I wish she would make it clear that she has the stuff there to sell. I wasted a good bit of time and money collecting supplies that weren't as good as what she had available. She also has all of her books there as well. You don't need one for the class though. She tells you everything you need to know. You will like the class. I took it at MQX last April and enjoyed making my first wholecloth. lisae
Yep, I had the same experience as Jess at HMQS a couple of years ago. And stencils...oh, my, that woman has stencils! LOL Have a great time in Karen's class, Gail!
Gails
Thank you so much, I am so looking forward to this class. I love wholecloth and can't wait to learn. I am thinking to go with the 70 x 70. Do you think that is to large for a 1st time.
Butterfly
Nope. Not too large at all. Go for it. I did a 60 x 60. Was almost able to finish in class. I completed the main design and then Karen let me borrow the crosshatching stencil so I could finish it in my hotel room. Jess
