Where do you get quilting ideas? That continuing question.

Recommended Posts

This gorgeous carved furniture is in Maryhill Museum on the Columbia River in Washington. Designed and commissioned by Marie, the Queen of Romania. Some of the items in the collection were actually carved by her.

Border designs?

Triangle designs?

I was in church a few Sunday's ago, a very, very old church in our small town--the ceiling has tin tiles with the most beautiful design which would translate onto a quilt so easily. I didn't feel right about whipping out the camera and taking a photo in church so I plan to go back later to photograph when no one is there!

That's my biggest challenge...........coming up with different ideas for quilting inside blocks, sashings, etc. I keep falling back into the same old thing and then kick myself for not trying something new.
