LadyLake
Spiral Table Runner just off the longarm. A square piece of backing and double batt was used -- Quilters Dream Cotton Select with Hobbs Wool on top. I pressed the seams open and starched it flat. I did not have to pin baste, but was careful when basting around the edge. I quilted the feathers in every other row and switched sides every time, so the tension would be even all over. LadyLake
Next, I cut out the spiral, curving across the wedged edges.
LadyLake
Here is the cut-out spiral. I used 'Lone Peak' Rainbows -- has both dark and light, so it showed on all the fabric values. I used Bottom Line #618 Medium Brown for the bobbin. GrandmaLKB
OK..........what happened to my post??? Joan that is just beautiful. Love the way you quilted it and very clever to cut it out afterward ! I saw one of these at a local quilt show a couple weeks ago, but they only did SID on theirs and not sure how they finished the edge. Yours is much prettier. Beachside Quilter
Joan, it was beautiful before you quilted it, but now it is stunning! I love your solution to the binding edge. Fabulous job!!
Neher-in-law5
Very pretty. I have made one of those and gave it away. Yours makes me want to make another. I like the binding on it, much nicer than the turn it method for this.
