Gator
I will be heading up to Chantilly, VA (Washington DC) for the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo at the end of the month. Anyone else going to be there? Can't decide if I'll be there Friday or Sat yet (maybe both). I love the diversity of this show, a little bit of everything, sewing, embroidery, quilting. You mean there is a time when there is less traffic :P:P. I wish I could sneak away and come down for a visit.
Primitive1
Yes, between 9am and 1pm on weekdays only...but Thurs, and Fri afternoons it becomes a parking lot for people heading south, sat seems to be very heavy both ways and sun afternoon and eve becomes the parking lot again for those returning north...we do all we can to avoid it! Quilting Heidi
Mmmm looks like I need to leave my house around 2 or 3 am to hit there during the "good" time. I'll keep it in mind because there is nothing worse than hitting it at a bad time!
Gator
We go camping in Gettysburg several times a year (home). Pulling a 40FT RV is interesting on I-95/495 to say the least. We usually plan our trips so we hit DC around 3AM. However, trying to get through the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel is getting harder everyday, no matter the time. VDOT loves to shut things down at night to "work".
Primitive1
We've been saying for years that we need another highway running north and south, when there is an accident...(usually one per day), it becomes an even bigger problem and now with gps's all of the back roads are also backed up.....
