Ginny's 60th birthday quilt

This is a quilt I did for my sister Ginny's 60th birthday. My sister Barb pieced most of it. I did the row of pinwheels and the outer borders, then quilted it with my IQ using the 3 Sister's Abundant Feather pattern. In the full shot, Ginny is on the left, my niece Rebecca in the middle, Barb to her right, and my sister-in-law Becca to the far right.

I just posted in the photos of quilts for shows thread about how taking pictures outside with a high-resolution digital SLR camera will help you get great shots. You can see the detail in this quilt without enhancement. It won't be going to shows, but you can see all you need to see just the same.

Thank you all for the nice comments. My sisters and I make each other quilts for milestone birthdays. They generally are scrap quilts from projects we have shared, so they contain lots of memories. They now need to get going on my 60th birthday quilt, although they are wondering how they can surprise me with it since I'm their quilter. I told them since it's three years off, they have time to hand-quilt mine! :D

I love the tiny pinwheels, Linda. They are so sweet. What batting did you use -- the texture is great! And, what does SLR mean? You can tell from the photo that your sister loves it!
