seakitten
Be sure to check out my friend Carlene Keller's incredible hand-dyed fabrics in the vendors' mall. She does custom dyeing for artists like Esterita Austin & Sylvia Pippen, & will have a stunning assortment of fabrics & colors for sale.
birgitquilts
Hi Carmen, Thank you so much for the offer to take pictures at PIQF. I'll have two items in the show - my quilt Licorice & Lace and my garment Chocolate Orange Cocktail. Should you come across them, I'd love for you to take some live pictures. Thank you so much in advance, Birgit
Mrs.A
Hi Carmen: What a nice offer for those of us who cannot make the show this year! My quilt SWAN LAKE DE LOS MUERTOS is in the show. Hopefully it will stir up a few giggles. If you get a photo, I'd love to see it hanging. And would love to see photos of any other quilts which you find inspiring as well. Have a great time! LauraJ
Your quilt was stunning. My quilt buddies and I had a great time seeing all the gorgeous quilts, including both of yours. The Best of Show was all quilted on a domestic Bernina. Impressive. Birgit one First Place Innovative but the pictures were blurry - big bummer. srichardson
JoAnn, I just received an email from thequiltshow.com. There is a segment about PIQF which I haven't yet watched. Your winning quilt is featured I think. Congratulations to all. Sue
Mrs.A
Congratulations, JoAnn. That's fantastic about the ribbon and the sewing machine. Woo Hoo! I hope to see your quilt in person at Houston next month. My skeleton ballerina quilt (SWAN LAKE DE LOS MUERTOS) was recognized at PIQF with a ribbon for Best Interpretation of Theme. The theme is "Time". I really have no idea how they choose these things and I had NO expectations other than to get the quilt seen but I am thrilled to receive a ribbon from PIQF!
