Helping Customer Prepare Their Quilt for Quilting

Recommended Posts

Since I'm a short arm quilter but read alot of posts here from long arm quilt studio owners who really get frustrated with us short arm customers over things like wavy borders, quilts that are not squared up, etc., I thought I'd post this link for reference from Rockin Bobbin Quilt Studio who I think did a really great job at notifying customers on how to prepare their quilt for quilting. I also think she did a really great job positioning her studio as a service "for quilters who love to piece tops" but are happy to have someone else do the quilting. I think it shows alot of respect for ALL quilters. I also love the way she says "Hand Guided" for her machine quilting! :P

I love the "Hand Guided" expression :P

How interesting - did you know that Dawn Cavanaugh's studio is also called Rockin' Bobbin Quilting? Although this person has an explanation of how to prepare quilts, there is virtually nothing else on her site. Perhaps she is just getting it started?
