RoseCity Quilter
This week I tried something I had never done before. A customer brought me 2 identical quilts she made for her daughters. She choose the CL Swirls pattern for them and the same extra wide back. So I loaded them side by side and quilted them at the same time...less advances that way. They were done in no time.... The quilts were made from scraps she saved for this purpose, the scraps were from the clothes she made them as children. Have a close look, I could not find even one difference between the 2 quilts! sspingler
Don't you love it when you can simplify things? I had a lady bring me 16 place mats........no way was I going to do them one at a time so I spliced the backings together with fusible interfacing and put them all on......2 at a time. Went so much faster.

chrisquilter
Wow, that was really smart to load those together! I don't think I would have thought of that! The quilts look really cute with the swirl pattern on them. Good choice! chris

Shar Schmutz
I wonder if her daughters are twins, great job, I've heard if doing this but haven't had a chance to try it myself. I love that she made them so identical as well as unique.

Calicoquilter
I have done that with small quilts, like baby quilts, but never with large ones. Great job!
Quilting Heidi
That is a great way to get it done.
GrandmaLKB
I've done that a few times with small quilts.............usually I load end to end with a one piece extra long backing. Or I sew the backings together to make a long one..........load once ! Sure saves a lot of time. Sometimes we use the printed panels for baby quilts and don't cut the panels apart...........quilt as one piece and then cut apart.
Bekah
Ardelle how clever you are. I have two quilts for twins fourth up on the frame and would love to think I could do the same. Did you use one back or is two separate wide backs?

Sandra Darlington
Yep, I've done that, too on some of my small quilts - both side by side and one after the other. BTW, I'm working on a quilt using the CL Swirlz just now, too.
