aktbone
Of course I have to deliver this quilt on Monday. Attached is a pic of part of my second customer quilt. I am doing a panto by Ann Bright. I just finished the last full row. Now I have only 3 - 4 inches left and the panto is a 14 incher. What do I do now? 1) leave it be. or 2) make up something to fill the space that goes along with the water scene. or 3) any suggestions.
srichardson
Tonilyn, Perhaps you can find a solution on this Linda Taylor video. Scroll down to the panto video. Sue http://www.gammill.net/index.php?m=videos#
quietlifeaz
Personally I would stitch whatever is remaining of the pattern (running off the edge ---stopping 1/2" beyond the end of the quilt....it is ok if the pattern runs off the edge...hope that make sense. ffq-lar
Most panto users will stitch the partial row that is left, still using the panto. Determine the pathway and mark on the plastic that covers the panto with a Vis-a-vis or other wipe-off marker. Mark a line on the plastic where the top ends. You can use your channel lock and the laser to help mark the line. Then following the pathway, mark the path and when you come to the edge, draw a straight line to where the panto line on the body of the quilt starts again. Stitch your altered partial row and then erase the marks. This will match your design and look planned.
