Kay Anderson
Good morning my friends! I'm still fine tuning my new studio after our big move from Kansas back to Texas. Love the new place, but. Yeah, the "but" topic. My new studio area has carpet and my chair wouldn't roll on it. So, I needed to come up with a new idea for the floor, without removing the carpet. While roaming around in Lowes I came across some mismatched boxes of laminated flooring for $5.00 a box and had a brain flash, it locks together, and 3 boxes of the 8" x 4' flooring would cover the area in front of my machine. It works great and can be removed if needed. For $15 bucks, I'm a happy camper! Now we will see how long it lasts.

Lynne in Iowa
What a great brain flash -- I like that idea! Let us know how it holds up, any shifting or movement since it isn't in the whole room?
Kay Anderson
Not that I have noticed yet. I used the Pergo brand, it has a foam type backing on it. So far it is great! Be carefull with the brands you buy, they have to be the same as the interlocking channel is different for each brand. It looks like piano keys! LibbyG
I wanted carpet in my room, then bought the saddle stool. My friend told me to get those floor tiles, but I forgot about it. Thanks for showing the pictures. I might just try it, too.

It has a metal base and a great footrest. The site I purchased it from is below.
