Kay Anderson
This is a quilt I did for a customer a few weeks ago. The quilting design is my original design. She has put it in a show, but we don't know if it won anything yet. <a href=" title="IMG_1739 by Kamama710, on Flickr">

Mrs.A
Wow, Kay. That quilt has great visual impact and I'm sure that the judges and the show goers all admired it. Please share with us how you created your original quilting designs. They suit the patchwork perfectly...this quilt has a wonderful balance of piecework and quilting! Kay Anderson
I draw my designs in AutoCad (I was an engineering Tech. for many years, now retired). Then I make a stencil from the drawing. In this case only a portion of the design was required as it is a polar repeat. Marked the design with a very light blue chalk and stiched it out (with the help of some arc's and rulers, no computer). I do love to do custom design work and have a portfolio of original design stencils I've made in the past 6 years.
