IBQLTN2 Posted April 25, 2012 Report Share Posted April 25, 2012 As you may remember a few weeks ago our daughter in law Amanda was operated for a twisted intestine, well it seems with her weakened immune system she got a stomach virus and vomited so much that she became severely dehydrated and her kidney functions went all wacky. At any rate she is recovering back at Duke University, still very weak and emotionally and physically drained, She can use all the prayers she can get. Thanks all. IBQLTN2 Posted April 26, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 26, 2012 Well, Amanda thought she would be released today as she is doing much better now, but they apparently want her to be able to take solid foods and her kidney function to improve her levels are still too high for them to feel good about sending her home. Hopeful, but will rest easier once she is out of the hospital and all is normal again. Yes, she has certainly had a diiffucult time April has been very hard on her and she is looking forward to getting well and having the surgery reversed so that she wont have to deal with the bag any longer. that is hard to adjust to especially for a young person. thanks prayer Warriors, I dont know what we would do without our church and forum family to go to when we need prayers!!Love to All Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
