whitepinesquilter
I've never seen this 'Cinderella' Japanese brand of sewing machine, but I thought it was cuter than the dickens. The listing says the machine's base is 12" long - is this like the Singer Featherweight? It's listed on HipSwap (like eBay) for sale, I just thought it was very neat. Anyone seen this before? CindyT
No, I've never seen anything like that before, but since my Grandmother used to call me Cinderella when I was a kid, I think I need one of those! That's just so cute!!
Primitive1
I haven't seen one either.....
Georgene
It certainly resembles a Featherweight but it appears to be attached to a base, whereas the featherweight is free standing and has a carrying case.
Darlene Epp
I have one! But it's in a yucky, and I do mean yucky, base. Would love to find a wooden one that fit.
Heritage Keepsakes
Oh wow, I just love the flower decals on it. Very pretty.
Judy Bland
Too cute, looks similar to a FW but in a base with a drop-in bobbin, wouldn't it be interesting if it could tell about its' history?
diane c
I have one too! It is cute as the dickens. It's a Japanese clone of the Singer 15, but in a 3/4 size. Mine is on display on a shelf in my quilting room. I just think it's too cute! Diane in MN

cmkeindl1
I have several "toy machines" made by Singer. Metal, no bobibn (chain stitch), a black one with gold, 2 tan ones like my full-size 401"s, and even a plastic one from the 70's like were sold when I was little. Maybe it's a childs machine? oh, other companies besides Singer made little toy machines like their big ones.
Beachside Quilter
Cute machine! I have a large collection of vintage toy sewing machines, but this one is not in any of my reference books.
cmkeindl1
Vickie - I would love to see photos of your collection? They are so fun, I even put fabric and vintage thread on them and they all sew (well, 4 is all I have) but my husband built cute shelves in my sewing room for them! Yeah, this machine is different - google it and there are quite a few out there (a little pricey) but adorable. Anyone find out anything more about these? whitepinesquilter
Where this Cinderella is listed (Hipswap) there also is two Featherweights. One is a white one and the other is a black one. I don't know a lot about Featherweights, but I'll say that the white one looks gorgeous! The black one's picture is a lower resolution so it's hard to see details. Don't quote me exactly, but I believe one was a later 1950's model and the other an earlier to mid 1960's. You don't have to have an account to browse around on that site, that's how I've seen these.
