barbm
Sheila, your machine doesn't need a needle to run - you may have blown the fuse. The fuse is in a little compartment right next to where your power cord plugs into the head. If you're in Canada, you might have more fuses that will need to be checked. When you pull out the little compartment/drawer, you'll see the burned-out fuse. There's a 'hidden' compartment in the fuse-holder that should have a spare fuse. Check it out and come back here for the next step - putting in your new needle. Good luck!

DawnCavanaugh
Sheila, I just emailed you instructions on changing the fuse, and info on needles. Let me know how else we can help!
Sheilasweatshop
Thanks to both of you. Barb found the little area where fuse is, but can't open it.
barbm
Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry that little 'drawer' out. It's not intuitive but that's how to do it....
