Today hasn't been as productive as I had hoped, but I am getting some done on a quilt so thought I would post an in process picture of it. I sent her this pic to her phone and within 1 min, she called me back to say she loved it. I hope that you do to. Here is the pic and thanks for looking.:P

First of all, your feathers are beautiful!

I've been sewing all in one diapers covers and inserts today. They aren't as fun as making a baby quilt, so I have to almost force myself to get them finished! Then back to quilting for a bit. I can sit and sew at my machine and not have problems with my arm but once I start quilting on my machine I have to stop in short order. Tendonitis, ggrrr.

SID and tired of doing it! Helped a gal start and cut her stack and wack! Cooked dinner and washed the dishes, had my hair cut this morning, talked to Vickie and Linda today and played here on the web and did the jig.com puzzle! But the best has been looking at all the eye candy here! Maybe I can get more done on this quilt tomorrow!

I had to come back cause somehow my brain didn't make my finger type the important part!

Patty Jo Your feathers are wonderful!!!!! Can't wait to see the whole quilt!!!

Beautiful PattyJo!!! Can't wait to see the whole thing!

Today was my weekly ladies day out, don't be shocked but every week I go out with three other ladies, we explore new places to get drinks and sometimes we even eat! Today we drove to Chewela WA. and had a visit and lunch with one of the ladies elderly mother at the local casino, then we gambled. make that; they gambled and I donated to the cause. We first visited her parent's beautiful home and spectacular garden! What a yard they had created complete with four fountains!

The ironic thing about this group of ladies is, none of them quilt or even sew! They just get glazed looks in their eyes when I start talking about quilting... But they are good drinking buddies!

Beautiful feathers !!!

I'd love to be quilting, but yesterday and today we had 4 of our 5 grandkids ! Two of them are here until Tuesday visiting from Chicagoland. The other two live here in town and came out to play. Whew !!! Thankfully, the 3 year old went to daycare. He is high maintenance right now. haha It will be another week before I have quilting time again. Kids go home and then there are appointments for both of us, my Mom, more babysitting.

Going to Iowa State Fair tomorrow. Supposed to be a beautiful 79 degree day. YaYYYYY

The 4 older Grandkids by the sunflower patch DH planted. They are rather short due to the hot weather and drought. The sunflowers, that is, not the grandkids......:P

Delicious feathers, Pat!!

What am I doing today? Worked, cooked, watered, napped (I get up at 4:30 am) and now am headed out to finish a bright and beautiful "first quilt" for a new customer. I'll take a photo to show you!

I think this would be a good weekly feature--maybe a "What's-on-the-Frame-Wednesday". Or even a "What-I'm-Working-on-Thursday"--then we could see photos of quilts, grandchildren, gardens, trips, and other crafty stuff.

We need more interaction here!!!:D

No quilting for me for a few weeks, not sure I'll handle the withdrawals well, I've been packing our caravan preparatory to a 3 week trip up to where it's a bit warmer, -2c here this morning, frost everywhere.

I will so miss my daily fix on the forum, will check in where wifi is available.

Your feathers are wonderful Patti-Jo, that quilt looks like it could fly!

We'll see how long we can keep this going!

Thursday it is. We need a topic name like "Thoroughly Thursday" or "Photo Thursday"--my mind's a blank so somebody find a better name please! First one to think about it can start the Thursday "show-off" thread with the topic name and a date. We need a new thread every week so we can keep the posts at a manageable level. Fun!

How about "Show Off Thursday" and we can post what we're proudest of that day?;)

Today I got 2 smaller quilts done and I have the backing loaded for the next quilt. Guess I should go take some pictures of what I completed. Both are babby quilts. One has allover flowers and the other is my version of dwirling cos I can't do the Dwiriling the way it's taught. A good productive quilting day for me.

Love the Thurs. post idea.

Feathers look awesome.

Guest Linda S

Very pretty, Pat! I've been quilting and trying to fix my computer. It's behaving for the moment, but I have no idea how long it will hold up, so I think I won't chance trying to post photos!

I forgot to tell you what I was doing this morning. I put a large quilt on the frame and set up my CL Baptist Fan to use on it. I'll post a pic when finished.

Then I had to go have a breast biopsy. They lied! They said it was not particularly painful and only took about 20 minutes. Maybe the old way was like that, but they had a brand new machine and a new way of doing them. I was in there for over two hours. I wasn't allowed to move so my neck and back just spasmed like crazy. My arm went to sleep. And it hurt. Then I had to have another mammo following the procedure and that was more painful than normal. I told them they had developed a new procedure that would give a root canal a run for it's money.

After all that I didn't feel up to doing anything with my quilt so I just sort of hung out. Hopefully everything will be fine.

LOL I forgot to tell you what I was doing too. I was at work not having any fun at all. We had a flood we walked into on Monday because the AC cooler thingy in the ceiling got clogged. My assistant was out for the day so I got stuck taking all the office supplies out of the cabinets. They have been all over my office all week. Yesterday we finally were able to get our cabinets moved back and I reorganized it. Love my assistant but she can't organize to save her life and I hate having stuff all over. I didn't get any of my regular work done but the office is now organized. :)

When I got home I worked on Maddie's dress for my daughter's wedding. Oh it is so pretty and I can't wait to see her in it! I just have to add the layer of crinoline to the lining layer. So exciting to have the flower girl dresses done. I got Kailey's done this weekend.
