ffq-lar
Here is the Glacier Star Judy Niemeyer pattern done with Southwest colors, which my customer is calling "Desert Star". Cotton batting, a multitude of So Fine and BottomLine threads, and lots of hours.
ffq-lar
Straightforward quilting since there isn't a lot you can do except find designs to fill the odd-shaped areas. CCs, fills in different densities, SID and outlining, and a radiant sun placed in the brown corners.
ffq-lar
I'm proudest of the treatment of the inner circle of geese. Look at the odd-shaped areas to fill. These swoops fit well, stitched continuously, and make the geese spin.

Buttonflower
Inspiring! I've so much to learn before I'll be happy with my own quilting which is still at the beginner level...thank goodness for the 30 charity quilts hanging in the closet. I know PPP and I'm finding that I learn new things with every quilt. Right now I'm picking up great tips from Myrna's dvds too.
