snyderj9k
I have a customer quilt made from denim patches. What needle would you recommend I use for this? Are there needles just for denim? Any other pointers for this project?
witha'K'quilting
I would use a 4.0 or 4.5 needle on denim. I have done a few denim quilts...and try to avoid the thick seams as much as possible.
lisae
Hi, Jeanine, I have done many denim quilts for one particular customer. Keep your quilting simple. Denim DOES stretch, so make sure you stabilize well. And as Kristina said, avoid the seams if you can. Good luck!
marycontrary
I did a a t-shirt quilt for which the customer chose denim for the border and backing. And the backing was pieced together. I was really worried there would be problems. Used a 4.0 and the needle went through everything like butter. Hope you don't have any problems either, but be cautous cause you never know.
