quiltingkimmy 8
Well, I guess it was a matter of time... I am taking out 4 rows of a panto due to the mess on the back of the quilt! Solid black backing, customer wanted ivory on the top and I attempted to put black on the back....between pokies and the top thread coming through it was a mess.... I am however perfecting my seam ripper technique...what makes it go faster???
Quilting Heidi 1,398
Imberly try skinning that quilt. There is a u-tube out there I think. Do a search of the forum to find the threads on it.

Primitive1 802
I know we can use two colors if we tweak the tension but sometimes it is just easier to go with a matching thread on both to prevent the stress! I had one of those recently too!
quiltingkimmy 8
Oh how I love a great solution!! Just returned from ACMoore with my new little favorite tool - a "Making Memories" craft knife from the scrapbook aisle. It works beautifully, and less than $5!! It also comes with 6 replacement blades that I pray I never have to use!! Vicki - I agree!! Tried tweaking the tension, but it kept talking back so this experience is going in the 'note to self' category!!!
