Guest Linda S
This quilt has been in my studio, both on and off the frame, and back on and off, for far too long. It's finally done. My client made it without the benefit of the Judy Niemeyer pattern, so while I worked to get the fullness out of the blocks, it wasn't always possible. Mostly all IQ work:

KerriM
Linda, it's so beautiful. Can you tell me what thread or color you used? It looks like the color is on the back is white, but the front is maybe blue? Mono thread or different on the top and bobbin? Thanks, Kerri Great job! Guest Linda S
Kerri - it's 100% Glide, except for some Madiera Monolon in the top for SID around the rings. The bobbin color throughout is cream. In the rings is a light blue Glide - I don't have the color number in front of me, in the blocks and melons is Glide white, and in the spikes into the main blocks is a Glide dark blue. You will note that you cannot see any pokies of any color on the back, it's all cream. This is because it's GLIDE thread and magna glide bobbins - no pokies EVER! KerriM
Thanks Linda. I'm going to have to try the Glide thread. I've always been nervous about trying a different color on top than in the bobbin because of the opposite color showing thru but I'll try this if you have such good luck with it.
