mswings
I am about to leave for a 16 day, 4 country trip and was wondering if there are any shops I should try to see. We are going on a tour so I don't know how much free time we will have but thought I'd ask just in case. ;). We are going to England, Scottland, Wales and Ireland. Thanks in advance for any info. sewlinzi
Not so exciting visiting many uk quilt shops as most fabric comes from usa! Try Googling the following: seattle Quilts, Aberdeen, Cotton Patch Birmingham, Quilters Haven Suffolk, so and so of bungay... I expect Janette and Kay can suggest others. I confess that many of us buy online But we have great castles! You can always call in for a cup of tea...
Borderline Quilter
Hi Virgina, As Linzi said , we have smaller quilt shops over here that will be very expensive in comparison to those you are used to... You missed the biggest quilt show that we have which is in August , next week is there is a smaller show just outside of Edinburgh.....

anicatt
Not sure where you're heading on the England part ........ there's a nice quilt shop in Bath, called Country Threads http://www.countrythreadspatchwork.co.uk/ Midsomer Quilting is a bit further south from there but you'd need your own transport. http://www.midsomerq.com/ There are others dotted around but it would help if I knew where you will be as its a tour. If you know your itinerary - email me with it and I'll see if anything will be en route for you! anicatt@yahoo.co.uk - Ani
