anita
Just calling out to Connie AKA Gator. I know you're busy with emergency management and not likely to be on the chat, but wanting you to know we're praying for you in your duties and personally, for safety for all in the shadows of Sandy. God bless and stay safe everyone. Anita

GrandmaLKB
Just heard from DD who lives near Chicago and they are predicting 16 - 22 foot waves off Lake Michigan as remnants of the hurricane. Lake Shore Drive would probably be flooded and very dangerous. She said she had just assured her 8 year old that Chicago does not have hurricanes.......... WestieMom
Everyone stay safe! I will be praying for all in this storms path. We are as ready as we'll ever be here. Everything has been either put away or tied down...now if Sandy would just turn right!

Quilting Heidi
Hang in there Connie and Vicki! I hope you just get a glancing blow. It is a mighty storm. Those south of us and on the coast are in for a ride I think. I'm hoping it is more hype than bite but it is one huge storm!
Primitive1
Thanks, I don't mind the storm, I grew up in FL and have been through a few, it is just the inevitable loss of power that follows that I am not looking forward to! But I do have lots of projects lined up that don't require a machine to sew...and this time I have lots of batteries and some nice bright battery powered lights! And at least it is not 100 degrees this time!
