LadyLake
Does any one know if the Quilters Dream batting company is okay after Hurricane Sandy?
lsequilter
I spoke with them on Monday and ordered batting. They said they were a little behind on shipping but all was OK with them.
LadyLake
Glad to hear it. I spoke with a lone staffer there last week on Monday to place an order, and it sounded like they were in the thick of it with the storm.
jclark
I too ordered batting the day after the storm hit--the young woman on the phone said they were closed for one day--no power but were open, running and busy the next day. Haven't received my batting yet--may need to call them.
o2b Quilting
I ordered at least a week before Quilt Market and still have yet to receive a shipment. They must be WAY behind!
Zora
If you haven't received at least notification of shipment within a week of placing your order, I'd call and check on it. I emailed in an order, and even with the storm, they got it out to me within a week.
o2b Quilting
I talked to them this afternoon. They were shipping orders placed prior to 10/28/12 today... Rolls of batting are further behind than the packaged batting. Patience, patience, patience. Not one of my strongest virtues!! It was horrible timing for them to have Market, Festival and the hurricane all at the same time.
JudithWashburnQuiltStudo
Although Sandy may have slowed QD down, they are not closed. I am sure they are glad to have the QM & QF orders to help with sales. I know they will catch up soon - just as Lucy said, "just a little more patience". Bonnie H
Another reason for them possibly being behind is they offered a fabulous "free shipping" deal that ended Monday, so that might have put them a little behind. I sure wished I had remembered to place my order. I set off to get my credit card and by the time I made it back to my desk I totally forgot what I was up to! DUH!!! LadyLake
I received an email from UPS Tracking last night, that my rolls of batting from QD had been received and are on their way. I placed the order on the 29th, so they are catching up! So glad to hear that they are okay.
Gator
I work about 10 minutes from them and live even closer. They are fine. The city was shut down for about one day. QD is located in a fairly dry area of the city away from the beach. The main problem is getting to work due to flooded streets. This is a busy time of the year, so hang in there, their elves are working hard to get your orders out.
Bekah
I am just glad to hear that they are okay after the storm. Bonnie, I am glad to know I am not the only one that does that.
