dianne 16
Just thought I would post a photo of my embroidered basket quilt just before the binding was completed to let everyone know that I really appreciated everyone's help..... Brenni
Zora 317
This came out very nicely. I think the choice of the lighter green borders tied the dark green alternate blocks into the quilt very well. Your quilting, especially behind the baskets, is lovely. RitaR 647
That quilt is just gorgeous.. all elements. How long did it take you, or the owner, to embroider all those blocks? My minds eye says several years in my book, probably a lot less for you. I keep going back to look.. Rita

dianne 16
Just so everyone knows, this was a customer quilt and the story is that the embroidered blocks were done MANY years ago by my clients sister. They were done on polyester(?) stretchy fabric, had interfacing ironed on for stablization. The dark green cotton was hand dyed and I was unable to use any markers that required water or ironing for fear of fabric bleeding. The lighter green was a tight weave shiny cotton....i have to admit I did have my hands full, but I was pleased in the end. I learned that Invisigrip on the back of the boomerang ruler makes life a lot easier. Thanks for the lovely feedback.
