Changing leaders

Thought I would share a few tips on getting rid of the glue or whatever was used to put leaders on. #1 use a chisel to get rid of the worst of it.

#2 use some citrus goo off found in the household cleaners isle to get rid of what is left using a tulle crocheted scrubbing made by your mother- in law.

#3 Use double sided duct tape to attach New leader and cover the edges with clear duct tape.

#4 make sure you have all the leaders you need. For some reason I only had two, now have to order third one.

#5 Most importantly have a dear husband who uses the last day of his vacation to do the scraping and holding of tape.

now on to attaching New zippers.

Thanks Bekah! I got new leaders from Den for my birthday last month. Romance is not dead! As soon as I get the next one unloaded we'll be tackling this job. I think I'll use some of the old canvas to make side leaders.

I bought new leaders for my Libby before Christmas too. Now that things have slowed down, I need to put them on. Thanks for the ideas on attaching them. I especially like #5. Good advice.
