Last week my latest quilt SHAPESHIFTER was shown at the Tucson Quilt Fiesta. I used a New York Beauty pattern by Sue Garman for the blocks & sashing but the setting is entirely original. I figured you all might appreciate seeing the quilting on ShapeShifter so will try to attach another photo. Thanks for all your kind words. I did enjoy paper piecing this quilt but setting it on point created some interesting design challenges Used a stencil for the feather motifs in the center 4 spaces, stitched every darn ditch on the patchwork and free handed a meandering feather in the larger open areas. I was awed by the gorgeous piecing, but now with the quilting showing so well, I heartily applaud the good judgement shown by the officials in awarding those ribbons! It's a stunner!
