LadyLake
What are your ideas for quilting this woven ribbons baby quilt? TIA!
Anne from Guam
Hi Joan, How about a different fill for each fabric to accent the woven theme, or I would SID everything but you probably already thought of that! Make sure to post pics when you finish, it's a sweet quilt!
Wannabelongarm
Gosh it's cute! I would pick my two favourite borders and put in each ribbon, this would contrast the two directions of the ribbon. Thats all I can think of. Maybe a meandering feather in the pink and two intertwining ribbons in the grey? Will look forward to seeing what you come up with! michellegibson
What about drawing out two pacifiers that link through the rings? running them down the ribbons would be cute and fitting.
delld
How about little cute flowers for one ribbon, others little ducks, dragonflies, cute frogs, and leaves. I know whatever you do it will be oh so cute!!!

fineseams
Whatever design you choose to put on the ribbons, you want to emphasize the woven look. So you will have to trace the design, or mark in some way so that the design appears to continue on the part of the ribbon that is hidden by the crossing ribbon, and then pops out again when the ribbon emerges from under the crossing ribbon. It would be nice to SID to also emphasize the woven pattern. It will be fun to see what design you choose. Some baby is going to be very lucky! K. Szymaszek
This is adorable. I see a rope in one ribbon and maybe ribbon candy or something complimentary in the other. K
Quilting Heidi
I would pick a design that emphasizes the straight lines of the ribbon. I like the idea of using cute baby designs in there. If it is for a girl I'd do funky feathers across the pink and straight lines in the brown. Be sure to post pictures when you're done. witha'K'quilting
How about, after sid of course, placing an oval in each rectangle piece of the ribbons? I am thinking that some actual woven ribbons that I have seen have simple designs on them. I wouldn't do too much to this top...but stick with simplicity! Quilting Heidi
Oh what about basket weave on one of the directions? I'd bet that would add great texture.

JustSewSimple
Looks easy enough that you could piece it without a pattern if you wanted. I love the look of it. You be sure to post a pic when you are done for us wannabes.
