cblevins Posted February 17, 2013 Report Share Posted February 17, 2013 As many of you know, Elmer died at 1:15 this afternoon. He was in my arms with his family around us. I would like to say it was an easy and peaceful death but it wasn't. It was more horrible than I could have imagined. He is finally at peace now. Thank you my forum friends. You have become an important part of my family. I will be displaying the quilt made with love by you at the funeral home along with the one I received from sweet Kristina today. I know this is so hard on you but know you did exactly what Elmer wanted he will now be the angel that watches over you. I so wanted a happy ending to Elmer's fight and I don't know the why but I do know he loved you with his whole heart and I know you will make it through this. We're here for you. I, also, am so sorry that his final moments weren't as peaceful as would have been hoped for, but rest assured that his soul is at peace now that the physical body is no longer suffering.
