witha'K'quilting
I finished this for a friend who has breast cancer. I used fun prints from scrub tops, pillowcases and flannel to make this a 'happy' quilt for her to take to treatments. I quilted this with TT's as an overall design. The fabrics stand out and not the quilting. When looking for designs to quilt...don't forget the simple designs we learned. They can make great edge to edge quilting designs! I used Superior So Fine thread on top and Magna Classics in the bobbin, along with Winline Bamboo batting. This quilt should shrink up nicely after a hot wash and dry. Sharon M
I love this Kristina. You're right, sometimes simple is best. Beautiful, and such a nice gift for your friend. I'm sure she will treasure it!
fineseams
A great idea. I really like the way that the design reads differently in the areas where there are 4 blocks of the same color making a larger-appearing square. I actually have a charity quilt that I've been looking at and thinking about. This might be a good answer, and good practice also. Thanks for sharing!
