log cabin quilt and feather practice

Recommended Posts

Here is my latest log cabin quilt. It is a freehand swirl in the center and small border and meander in the large border.  Meander border seems to be my beginner go to. LOL  I saw one of these quilts made up in my LQS and I fell head over heels in love with the green fabric so I had to make it. It still need to be bound but it is 2nd in line for that. HA! I am the world's slowest at binding but I do love to do it.

The next picture is some of my feather practice. I almost feel ready to start adding it to a quilt even though some of the backtracking is still not where I want it to be.

Thanks for looking and any advice is welcomed!  :0)

Just remember that if you use thread that matches or blends well, the back tracking bobbles won't show as much.  It's difficult for me to get  backtracking spot on---but then again, I'm not a computer.  Quilting looks good!
