GrandmaLKB
I just finished the binding on this Mystery Quilt. I used Superior's Twist thread on top (black/gold), magnetic bobbin from Fil ted and Hobbs PolyDown batting. I am pleased with the outcome. My Grandsons will beg me to give this to them..........Sorry boys.........this stays with Grandma for a while. Their beds are too small anyway....... Black and Gold are our Iowa Hawkeye colors........This is on a queen size bed. I keep forgetting to change the date on my camera !!!!!

LisaC
I am going to have to buy a couple cones of that thread at HMQS! Very cool on quilting and thread choice.

GrandmaLKB
I was very pleased with the Twist thread. I wasn't sure how it would work in the long arm, but it didn't break once ! I like the way it blended in with the blacks/golds so well. The quilt itself is busy enough and I didn't want too much contrast with the thread. I didn't do any fancy quilting either........just an all over medium meander. I've had the top done for a while, but it kept getting put on the back burner to do other projects before it got to be quilted and finished. IBQLTN2
wonderful colors for the Hawk Eyes and very pretty quilt. I am sure they will still want it later as well. Finishing this huge quilt is a real bonus isnt it. Whew! I was happy to have mine finished as well. What a lot of work it was, but so worth it. Great Job!! GrandmaLKB
Yes, it was a lot of work. Those last BIG blocks took a long time and I got so tired of them. I made myself stick with it and tried to keep up with the clues each time and not fall too far behind. I, too, am very glad it is done.
