carolinequilts
It has been awhile since I used this thread. It's a 12wt Sulky thread, and a Valdani Brilliance poly in the bobbin (about 60wt). I thought I used this combo before, but this time the thread is breaking. I have it very loose and am using a 4.5 size needle. Any tips?
Quilting Heidi
Caroline I've never used that combo. Have you only looped through one of the holes in the 3 hole thread guide? you definitely need to run that thick of a thread loose.
carolinequilts
Thanks Heidi. I did change it to two holes and it still broke. I'm done for tonight but will try one hole tomorrow.
mark
Wow! A 12wt, that has to be a really thick thread! If it is still breaking with the 4.5 needle you might try a 5.0 with even a larger eye in the needle and see if that works!
