Churn Dash
Hardly an original title for a post! I have started having a problem when the top thread spins to the back and breaks, creating a nest but the machine keeps stitching so apart from the odd sound it is hard to tell that the problem occurred. I've tried changing the thread, the batting, the top tension and the needle. Part of my difficulty is that it doesn't happen very often, so I have no clue what to do next. witha'K'quilting
Clean out the bobbin area. My machine's tension started misbehaving and the culprit was the bobbin area. Lint was causing my issues with breakage.
zeke
Hi Helen, You want to check for burs in your thread guilds and on your check spring. These are your major cause of that issue. Check your throat plate whole as well. Burs can crop up anywhere when you least expect them. That's where I would start first. Also check your hook too. There could be a small bur there, but make sure you use your finger nail and not your skin. Regards, zeke............
