chrisquilter
This is what I saw outside my window this morning. DSCN1312 by chrisquilt00, on Flickr This is what came off my quilting machine today! Snwoflakes! DSCN1305 by chrisquilt00, on Flickr I usually kind of, sort of, have an idea of how I am going to quilt. My customer wanted me to treat the white areas on the borders as all one, dipping into the squares created by the blue patterns separating the white areas. Ok, no problem, just tuck the feathers over and around the DSCN1295 by chrisquilt00, on Flickrhumps and bumps. Then I came to this corner! yikes! I have always love it when I saw the fiddle head fern quilted on some quilts so, in it went. DSCN1297 by chrisquilt00, on Flickr Then each block went pretty easily. DSCN1291 by chrisquilt00, on Flickr Until I came to this shape! wow! I did not see that when I was planning the quilt. So I decided to treat it the same way I quilted the center of the white blocks. DSCN1306 by chrisquilt00, on Flickr I did not realize the squares created secondary diamond shape around the darkest snowflake block. Happy accident! chrisquilter
Oh Lisa, If I could I would quilt a spring quilt! It is potato and pea planting time in southeast ohio according to my mother. You should have planted your peas and potatoes on St Patrick's day.
