b.glass
I have been fighting with the tension on my Millieforever, or so it seems. I've tried various threads, made a chart as to the threads and the tension, etc, etc, etc. I changed needles and so on. I ordered 3 new bobbin cases from APQS and low and behold that was my problem! I just finished quilting 2 balloon fiesta wallhangings for the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta for NMQA and I had no problems with the tension. I used Superior Magnifico in the top and a variegated Star cotton in the bobbin. I could NEVER have done that before. So, I really hope this tip helps anyone having tension issues. qltnbe
How old were your bobbin cases that they needed to be replaced?
whitepinesquilter
Thank you for posting this, it is a good thing to keep in mind. I need to order a couple more myself, because there's nothing worse than having problems and not getting it figured out!
b.glass
I've had my machine just 2 years. I don't know if I had a damaged case from the beginning or it was something I could have done. Either way I'm very happy now and can get on with quilting without constantly fighting my tension.
