ffq-lar
As I was talking with a good customer today she told me of a conversation she had with her DH this week. He noted from the credit card statement that it looked like she hadn't bought any fabric the previous month. She mentioned she would like to use some of her stash on planned projects and he smiled. She then reminded him that all the "old fabric" she had in her stash was purchased at $8 to $10 a yard. New fabric was pushing $13 now so her fabric stash was doing better as an investment than their mutual fund or the stock market! Love it!

CindyT
She's got the right idea! I agree, Connie (Aithne), because I used to shop the fabric sales and alot of my stash is $6-$8 from years past!

CrazyAboutQuilting
Ha, love it! My DH doesn't pay any attention to the checkbook, other than to occasionally see what our balance is, so I never have to justify my purchases.....but I'll remember this in case I ever need it! :D
