CindyT
I did the "green" thing and cut the tubes that the rolls of batting come on into sections and split them on one side and use them all the time. I just used them last night when I had unpinned the quilt at the bottom and realized I still need to do two spots near the top of the quilt. quiltingjoyful51
My husband made mine from a pvc pipe. He just cut a quarter of the pipe out and sanded the edges.

They work great! http://homestitches.com/supplies.html Carmen, how easy/hard are these to push on and pull off? Do they fit well over the leader and all layers of a quilt if I would need to mount a quilt for a repair without them popping off? Thanks for imput. GrandmaLKB
I have some of each of those..............I like the gray ones when you have a thick quilt sandwich to hold.......I use them more than the white ones actually. I couldn't remember where I got the gray ones ! Thanks Kristina !
witha'K'quilting
linda....i have grey ones too that i got from dave. the white ones are great for the rollers when you float the top. the grey ones are bigger so they hold a quilt sandwich nicely as you say. whitepinesquilter
Linda or Kristina, do either of you know the difference in the sizes of the gray or white clips that you have? I see on Dave Brown's site he offers white and grey, and he offers for different machines (I would think because they have different size rollers, possibly?) - but nothing is said about different colors -v- size. I was wondering if there would be a different size needed if you were going to re-mount a quilt to fix or repair rather than just the top. Thanks in advance for any help. GrandmaLKB
I really don't remember HOW I got the gray ones, but they are bigger than than the white ones. Is there a choice when you get to checkout? I use the gray ones when I need to hold a quilt sandwich that is thicker.
