Cheryll Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Don't laugh but I'm getting married May 20 and we are going on a longer honeymoon and MQS is one of the first stops. I didn't over do it as far as classes for only 3 days. He must be a keeper if he doesn't mind stopping at a big quilt event. Ha Ha Cheryll

ramona-quilter Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Cheryll, Well, the best to you Cheryll. I wish you and your intended every happiness. And you are right, he must be a keeper if he is taking you to the MQS quilt show during your honeymoon. I had a friend tell me that her honeymoon included a side trip during hunting season. Some folks come home from their honeymoon with flower leis and photographs; my friend came home with a deer strapped across the hood of the car. YIKES. I am saving up for MQS if I can flim-flam my brother-in-law into letting me stay at his house.
Mary Beth Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Renae, I was so sorry I missed you when you were here - blast those out of town relatives that don't tell you they are coming unil they are almost here!! I look forward to meeting you at MQS as well as the others who will be attending from this forum. This is going to be so much fun seeing everyone face to face - almost everyone. I'm trying not to get too excited - it is still about 4 months away.
DebFigved Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 My reservations have been made for over a month. I cannot wait. I enjoyed it so much last year--ordered my Millie and CQ from the show. Thanks Grammie, Claudia and Cheryl for you great advice!! WIll be great seeing you all again.
Mary Beth Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 It is International Machine Quilters Showcase...go to www.imqa.org to check it out.
jodyrose Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 :::SIGH:::: at almost a 10hr drive, I dont think sooooooooo. Maybe some day..anyone driving I could ride with or could ride with me? If I drove, I would be renting a car, since I wouldnt want to put the miles on my Jeep.
DebFigved Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Ride share from Illinois I'M thinking about driving from Bartlett, ILLINOIS. Sharing rides is possible--that is unless air fare changes my mind. I want to bring my featherweight for a maintenance workshop. May be easier to drag it along from the safety of my own car. Thus thinking of driving.
