Training Video/How to Load a quilt to a Millennium

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Question please, is there a VIDEO from APQS on how to load a quilt to the Millennium?  Are there ANY type of videos that may be purchased from APQS regarding the set-up and use of a Millennium?

Thank you!

Hi Janice,

Here are a couple of links from the APQS site.

They are not specifically what you are looking for I am afraid.  Did you get a DVD & CD with your machine?  I have a paper instruction manual with mine that shows how to set the machine up and load a quilt.  I am not sure but I think with the more recent machines the manual may have to be printed out from the CD.  Do you still have to set up your machine?  I received very detailed step by step instructions with mine and they should have come with your machine if you bought from APQS.  If you bought the machine from a private party perhaps they still have the information.  If none of these ideas work give APQS a call and order what you need.  This is a link to the parts list and part way down is information about the DVD and manual.

Good luck and welcome to the forum

You could takes classes from 10 different teachers and see 10 different ways to load a quilt. We all like our way the best, and after 13 years, I've fine tuned my procedure so it's quick and easy. I DON'T use pins because they don't like me and poke me every change they get. I use zippers to load the backing and full float the top. I DO baste the top, using the channel lock, AND I baste the sides using the channel lock, making sure the backing isn't under any tension. I tension all 3 layers AFTER basting so everything has the same amount of tension on it.

If your hopping foot is pushing the fabric ahead of it, it needs to raised.
