chrisquilter
Marci, here is one corner of the quilt. I don't have anywhere to hang the whole thing, but I think you can see how the pattern worked with this corner. My customer used dream wool for the batting. Isn't it beautiful the way the quilt pattern stands out? As you can see, I did not continue the swirl through the center of the pieced blocks because I did know how it would look with the swirls crossing. I just did the cc's in the "crossing block" in the middle. As I was checking the quilt, I noticed on block where I forgot and swirled through the middle anyway. Actually, it looked pretty good LOL. So either way works. You have to page though about five pictures to get to the corner picture. Pat C
I'm glad Marci asked about this because I was curious to see more of the quilt too. The swirl in the crossing block is only noticeable since you mentioned it. LOL! You did a wonderfull job on this! I couldn't stop with just the Irish Chain pictures, had to keep looking. You really do beautiful work!!! Thanks for sharing!

whitepinesquilter
Thank you so much, Chris! You DO do lovely work! I'm hoping I can incorporate a design very similar to this (along with the ideas of the quilt owner) - it is lovely!

chrisquilter
Glad to post it for you Marci. My customer was commissioned by another person to make this quilt. She ( my customer) only does pantos and she wanted custom on this one. Boy, talk about pressure! I turned it over to her today an she was pleased. Thank Goodness! Now I am getting ready to leave for North Carolina to see the Biltmore House! Yea! I can't wait!.

RitaR
Chris, you will love the Biltmore tour. The opulence is, well, I think I'd have to say for me it was over-whelming. We spent a lot of time, going over the first floor entry area, and saw something new every time. We ate out in the building to the right of the main entrance.. Service and food were very good. Enjoy!! Rita
