lizziesgirl Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 Linda S, I bought a Singer touch n sew that chain stitches. When I attach the zippers I start in the middle and go to the ends. One side will do great but the other side tends to pucker slightly. What do you do? or do you have this happen?
Mary Beth Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 I'm not Linda S. but I have the Touch n Sew. You might want to adjust the pressure foot so that there is not too much pressure. Do you have the book? It should guide you through the process.
dixieqwv Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 I would love to have a Touch'n'Sew .... what model do I need to look for please? THANKS
Mary Beth Posted February 24, 2007 Report Posted February 24, 2007 600 or 700 series with the attachments. There is a special plate that enables you to do the chain stitch.
Guest Linda S Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Oh dear! Sorry I missed your question. I've been so busy lately, I haven't be on the computer much. Yes, I think it is a question of presser foot pressure and also whether you pull on the fabric as you stitch. Just be careful to keep things a bit loose, and you should be all right. Linda
lizziesgirl Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 Thanks Linda and Mary Beth I will give that a try.
