Fastquilts
I have been wanting to do this one and I am trading quilting for someone to do the embroidery! A lady I know loves to do the hand work but hates to piece her quilts and the quilting. Sounds like a deal to me! Oh I have quilted a couple she has done and she does great work. tyquilter
Ann, the pattern is Winter Wonderland by Crabapple Hill. I have also made the Over the River one and want to make the 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. I wish they had a pattern for a large Quilt with Spring designs. I absolutely love red and white quilts, stars and enjoy hand embroidery. I leisurely worked on the embroidery during lunch at work. Now that it is done I need to find something else to embroider. I am thinking about taking just one of the snowman scenes and a few stars and making a wall hanging as a gift for Christmas.
GrandmaLKB
I am working on one of those embroidery/pieced quilts from Cabapple Hill too. I can't remember the name, but it is a winter scene. I have the piecing done, but slow going on the embroidery. My hands give out after a while, so I have to put it aside, then go back and do another panel.......been working on it for two years ! I haven't worked on it since before the holidays......maybe it's time to bring it out again? Love yours and can't wait to see it quilted.
ffq-lar
Here's one I quilted last year. They are so fun! http://www.flickr.com/photos/larech/9568455582/in/photostream/ Right now I have "Vintage Tin" on the frame. It's from the same pattern designer. It's a guy quilt with a Route 66 theme.
