Mercedes
I found several packages of Groz Beckert needles size 4.0 in my box of APQS supplies. I've always used the needles from APQS however I have a bunch of these and I don't remember when I purchased them. Can I use these in my machine and are they APQS approved? Oma
Those are the ones APQS sent me the last time. They work well.

Mercedes
Thanks so much. I need to change my needle and didn't want to use something that wasn't approved or would cause me problems with my machine. I've loaded up a huge piece of fabric and am going to practice all day today. This will be practicing freehand quilt designs, ruler work and altering my tension and then back to the best stitch I can get. I'll also be using my saddle stool to try and get used to using it more. I consider myself a beginner so there will be no pressure here - just fun, fun fun!
BethDurand
I believe that some time ago Gros-Beckert bought out Singer and that is what is currently available. Be sure that they have MR near the inventory number. That indicates that they are a slightly different length than those for other machines. LindaSteller
I've been using them for the ten years I've owned my machine. Don't tell anyone, but I even use the titanium ones. I've broken two needles in the entire time I've owned my Liberty, so they've never been a problem for me. And, they last longer!
