Dianna Kihs
I am working on a quilt that has 2" black borders between the blocks. Quilt is quilted and I'm down to the black borders. I have black glide thread on top and a blue glide in bobbin. I have tighten the bobbin loosen the top tension and have played with it for hours. the bobbins is still showing up on top. What do I need to do? Batting is hobbs 80/
shirleyl
Loosen the top tension some. With that high of a contrast, you will have to work to find a balance. Tighten to bobbin a smidge too. You are going to have to get it just so. Good luck. Shirley
LindaSteller
What sort of bobbin are you using? Is it one of the magnetic pre-wounds, or is it a metal bobbin you wound yourself? Do you have a Towa gauge? If you can't get your bobbin tension tight enough and you're using a metal bobbin, check your backlash spring in the bobbin case. You may need to bend the little arms of it out a bit. That will provide you with a little more resistance.
Busy Quilting
Is it the actual thread on top, when you run a fingernail along it does it catch on the thread, or is it you can see the bobbin thread in the needle hole.
