maggienoella
I don't recall who recommended bizchair.com for a saddle stool, but I got mine from there and I love it. I'm practicing custom and freehand and it's great. I know I wouldn't have paid $200 for a chair for a while but $137 or whatever was just right. Thanks, Joan
chickenscratch
I've always wondered about sitting down to quilt, but I move around to much. I'm back and forth rolling and moving the quilt, changing thread, etc. I dont' think I would sit still long enough to pay for having a stool. Oma
Yes you would Teresa if the opportunity presented itself. I didn't think I would either and now I use it all the time.
shirleyl
I use mine when working on individual blocks or while frogging. Saves me body a bunch. Shirley
JenniferBernard
I have to really remind myself to SIT DOWN! When I am frogging, working on sketching a design idea, or doing intense stipple work. It really helps with back and arm strain since you can raise and lower the stool to the perfect position. However, I can't sit when I do a free hand over all pattern because I go too fast and need full arm movements. I love my stool!
o2b Quilting
When I use it, it is worth every $ spent. I don't use it every day but it definitely has a purpose!! I even have renters who use it while doing panto work as they have bad knees or hips or backs!
Quilting Heidi
I would pay that for my saddle stool. I would be lost without it!
RitaR
Broke or not, I would willing pay up to $500. for one, after noticing all the help it gives.. it even helps the shoulders and arms. Rita
aktbone
Do you like the one with a back or without? I am looking at getting one.

JeannieB
No back on mine either ... and the foot rail was a must for me with my short legs. 8-)

Quilting Heidi
This is the one that Jamie Wallen uses and it is very comfortable and reasonably priced too! http://www.officestar-furniture-direct.com/officestar-oscst205.html
Primitive1
I love my chair too, it really saves a lot on the back and allows me to sit and work with my micro handles for custom work. I think mine came from biz chair too...
Myrna Ficken
I recommend BizChair all the time it is a great price. I bought mine there years ago. Teresa you would use it aot. As far as changing threads I ALWAYS use my Hartley Cone holder. I don't use the one on the back unless I am doing a panto, which is seldome. Or if i am changing a lot, I can have a cone back there that I can tie off and use when I need it.
LibbyG
Make sure the saddle stool is the one that raises to 36 inches, something like that. You don't want the one that only goes to 24 inches, it won't be high enough. I never thought I'd sit to quilt, but I love it, too, especially going around applique. I bought mine from bizchair, but it's the office star one. And yes, get the bar on the bottom with the rollers.
