caddyhomes
A customer has provided a flannel pieced top and minkie backing but allowed only four inches of extra minkie. I can frame the backing to accommodate the machine, but is four inches enough for the backing puffing allowance as I stitch?
BethDurand
I think you'll be okay. I don't find Minky puffy, but certainly stretchy. You'll want the greater stretch to go from side to side on your machine. Parallel to your rails. Otherwise as you advance the quilt, the Minky will stretch, and end up with a whole lot more at the end.
shirleyl
If you pin it should be enough. Just be careful not to stretch the minkee. I load minkee either direction without problems, but I use it a lot. You just have to watch the stretch. Shirley
