shirleyl
I have a client who has found an old hand pieced quilt top made by her grandmother. Now this client is in her 80's. We discussed quilting and she really wants it hand quilted, and not machine quilted. Does anyone have any resources on someone that hand quilts? It is wonderfully pieced, better than some of the machine pieced quilts I get. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Shirley
K. Szymaszek
Hi Shirley, I don't know of any hand quilters personally, but I heard of someone who sent her quilts to Lancaster Amish quilters to be hand quilted. I don't know who in particular but I think if you googled it you will come up with many options. I just googled it and came up with www.amishhandquilting.com . Hope this helps. MCramer
Try asking at local churches. They still sometimes have old fashion quilting bees.
