INSTRUCTIONS STITCHING BOUNDARIES WITH QUILT PATH

I was reading the manual again about placement options and something caught my attention. So I tried it. I was so excited about what I learned, I wrote a simple little instruction file for myself and also in case it would help someone else.

In the quilt pictured, I stitched in the ditch close to the appliqued set of blocks, but it wasn't enough. I wanted to do an outline around the entire set of applique, so I tried the boundaries feature and it worked great.
Instructions are attached as a PDF so they can be easily printed if desired.

If you try it, please let me know how it went or if my instructions confused you in any way. Thanks.

I think this is interesting and what happens to your original design, that is in your case, a globe with longitudinal lines? Is it discarded, or still possibly going to stitch? Also, the end of this PDF seems to need a picture of the quilt. I wondered about the triangles inside the piecework (how they were done) and these other quilting patterns on the quilt in the borders. Thanks, and let's see if this will do an echo or two with save pattern, and then edit it so there are 3 or so echos. They could be connected with the Optomize. Ha!

Karen, the pattern (globe) or whatever design you select, is only stitched if you choose BLOCK instead of BORDER.

As for the triangles inside the piecework I did that freehand. Wasn't that brave yet. And the designs in the borders, you'll see this quilt again soon when I show the wrapped borders I tried.

And yes maybe I should add another pic of quilt at end of instructions. Thanks.
