dlnewell Posted July 11, 2014 Report Share Posted July 11, 2014 Has that outer blue border been stretched on, thus the reason for the border not lying flat? If so, I would encourage her to take those side pieces off and put in some more fabric. A ton of work went into this top for a simple border issue to cause such a problem. On the border turquiose triangles, I would do some sort of curved cross hatching or motif. Linda Rech posted some nice pics recently with that theme. In all white areas meandering feathers would be nice. You could do a quarter circle feather motif in each of the four corners. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Primitive1 Posted July 12, 2014 Report Share Posted July 12, 2014 I think this is more than a light/med custom job, but I'd go with meandering feathers in the background areas and the blue triangles and SID the feathers and the centers of the feathers...I wouldn't do too much detail in the centers of those feathers to try to keep the cost down...
