Schmetz needles for George

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a George that is timed for schmetz needles? Are they the regular schmetz needles or are they an industrial version?

Thanks!

Teacey

Tracey

When I bought my Ultimate 1 the previous owner had been using Schmetz needles.  The ones I have look similar to the MR series we usually use but they don't have the bump in front.  I don't think they were for multi directional use.  I just started using the Gros Beckert MR series right away.  I guess the short answer is they were industrial needles.  I have some 3.0s if they're looking for something thinner and want to pick them up to try.  I've used them in my U1 without retiming.

Hi Tracey,

The needles are indeed industrial. We do carry them as replacements at APQS. Here is what to look for:
