Christmas Alphabet panel

Recommended Posts

I just finished something for myself!! Yay!

It's a panel that's been hanging in my studio for several years and I finally found time to quilt it. It's Nancy Halvorsen's Christmas Alphabet. Just needs some binding and a place to hang.

I outlined everything with BottomLine gold, used matching thread to stitch the fillers, and had a ball!

Wool batting makes a huge difference.

Here's the link---arrow right for detail shots and thanks for looking!

Beautiful Linda. So glad you got something done just for you!

And may I ask how you outline appliqué so well? I can't quite get it.

Thanks for the comment, but this has no piecing or applique. ;)  It's a panel and while it may look like nice outlining, there are some oopsies! Plus the side borders are not the same width--done when the panel was cut off the bolt. That will be corrected when I get the binding done---hopefully before Christmas!

That's so dang cute, Linda!! I love all your background fills. And love anything Nancy Halvorsen.  I had to find me a panel, too, Vickie!! :P

Lol, Bonnie; great minds think alike! I'm not promising any year or decade for mine to be finished! I have new great niece and great nephew so am trying to spoil them with small projects while they are young. This ones going on my to do list!
